I grew up in New England, the son of a Trinidadian mother and a father from Florida. 






























PROFESSIONAL BIO


Jonathan Jackson is an award-winning creative leader, writer, and thinker, who sits at the intersection of community, commerce, an culture.   In 2014, he co-founded  Blavity Inc,  the largest digital media company focused on  Black audiences in the world,  reaching over 100M consumers per month.  He is a former Nieman-Berkman Klein fellow at Harvard University, where he studied Black cultural influence and intellectual property and how that is shaped both  domestically and abroad. He’s held leadership posiitons at Westbrook Media, Standard Chartered Bank, and LinkedIn.  Currently, he is a 2024 Global Fellow at the Ford Foundation, looking at how to  storytelling can enable creative institutions and reimagine the stories and infrastructure of emergent places.
